What Our Patients Say

“Dr. English is very kind and skilled. He performed an implant procedure in my lower jaw. Everything went smoothly and I never felt any pain. I’ve been to his office four times and was never left waiting - always seen as scheduled.”

Arthur D.

“I highly recommend Dr. Ray English III. He and his staff made a somewhat complicated procedure as pain free and relaxed as possible. He gave options, described the procedures in detail before performing them, and prepared me for possible complications. I attribute my relatively easy recovery to his expertise and professionalism.”

Janice B.

“Dr. English and his team were highly professional, competent, and very efficient. The facility is clean, modern, and medical equipment is state-of-the-art. The procedure and subsequent follow up visits were pleasant experiences.”

Dental implants last 30+ years with proper care

That means that when you get Teeth In A Day, you’ll also get a smile that may last you for the rest of your life.

Teeth In A Day Process

1

Preparing Your Surgical Plan

Before you can get Teeth In A Day, you will need to come to our office for an initial consultation. Dr. Ray English will ensure you’re a good candidate, and he’ll take detailed scans of your mouth. He’ll use this information to develop your surgical plan, and to order a set of temporary teeth that will be placed on your implants right after your surgery.

2

Extractions & Implant Placement

Once your surgical plan is ready, you’ll come in for surgery. Any teeth that need to be removed will be extracted, and 4-6 dental implants will be placed. This can be performed either awake with local anesthesia or sedated.

3

Placing Your New Teeth

Once your implants are in place, Dr. English will attach your initial set of teeth. You’ll wear these teeth as your mouth heals and recovers. Once your implants are fully healed, you will visit your general dentist to have the final teeth placed

What to Expect After Your Teeth In a Day Procedure

Healing and Aftercare

After you get Teeth In A Day, you’ll experience some pain and discomfort as your numbing wears off. This is normal, and Dr. English will give you instructions on how to manage your discomfort. Your gums may be bleeding, bruised, and swollen. These symptoms usually peak and fade within a few days.

You’ll also need to eat a soft diet for at least a few weeks after your procedure. Eating really tough or hard foods can cause pain and discomfort, and put excess stress on your dental implants. Dr. English will give you a list of foods to eat, and detailed instructions on how to care for your new teeth.

It could take between 2-4 weeks for your mouth to feel normal after your surgery. But it will take up to 3-6 months for your jaw bone to fully heal and bond with your dental implants. During this time, you will need to come back to the RI Oral Surgery & Implant Center for frequent follow-ups. During these appointments, Dr. English will check on your oral health and recovery, and make sure everything is proceeding properly.
